In April 2019, the Youth Pact Association, which evolved from the Pact 4 Youth working group into an association, held its inaugural meeting.
We see the transformation into a non-governmental organisation as a milestone in the life of
the initiative, as it allows us to start implementing our long-term plans in an operational way.
The inaugural meeting was attended by representatives of the association members and
member organisations, including EU Commissioner Tibor Navracsics and Dutch Ambassador
René van Hell.
The experts assured the Association of further opportunities for cooperation, which have so
far proved important on the international line of the initiative. The election of the three-
member Bureau also took place. István Kárász, who has managed the working group from the
beginning, was elected President of the Association. For the two vice-president positions,
Lilla Nedeczky and Enikő Végvári, whose have been active since the launch of the initiative
in Hungary, were elected.
