From 15 to 23 July 2023, our Pact4Work Skills training will take place at the Venice Youth Camp, in cooperation with two partner countries and with Erasmus+ funding.

9 participants from Hungary will participate in the programme.

The programme began with a presentation by István Kárász, President of the Pact for Youth Association, who presented the European Union’s Green Policy Guidelines and research, followed by a speech by Zsófia Rácz, former UN Youth Delegate and Ministerial Commissioner of the Ministry of Regional Development, on the SDGs, highlighting the responsibility and opportunities of individuals in the field. 

Following the comprehensive presentations, the young participants were able to discuss specific topics in groups using the word café method, which was a continuous and productive exchange of ideas.


Experienced and young experts sat at the tables, actively sharing their knowledge and providing new perspectives during the world café sessions.

Róbert Szabó presented the needs of modern companies towards their employees and highlighted the skills and strengths of young people and the opportunities to develop them.


Dóra Tarjányi shared her experiences in the startup world in a creative way, presenting the roles and skills from fresh graduate to lab manager, as well as the startup working environment and its challenges. 

At Zsófia Rácz’s table, participants developed their knowledge of the 17 SDGs and their integration. They discussed how action in one area affects progress in the others, and how development needs to balance social, economic and environmental sustainability.

Viktor Jósa presented the competences needed for the sustainability transition, using a freely available toolkit, the Sustainaware competences model, which is full of educational games and group activities on environmental sustainability, thus serving as an entry point for young people to gain work experience by becoming facilitators themselves.


Judit Beke, President of the GILE Foundation, introduced the participants to the open access peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the GiLE Foundation, which focuses on developing personal skills for the 21st century, the digital age.

On the occasion of the March roadshow, we presented the results of the #StandForSomething campaign at the Megyei Diákfórum in Debrecen (County Student Forum).

The Magyar Református Szeretetszolgálat (Hungarian Reformed Church Aid), Telekom KraftLab, the Hajdú-Bihar Megyei Diákönkormányzatok Szövetsége, HABIDISZ (Association of Hajdú-Bihar County Student Self-Governments) and the KÖZ-Pont Youth Association also presented their work at the event, while the afternoon was dedicated to small group workshops.

One of the workshops was led by the Pact for Youth Association, on the theme of future jobs. We looked at how young people see themselves when they take the first steps in their careers and what kind of working environment and working hours they could work in effectively.

It is always a pleasure to see young people taking action for their future and their goals.

On March 24th in Szolnok we participated in the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok Megyei Diák Fórumon (County Student Forum in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok county), where we presented ourselves as a Pact for Youth NGO, alongside the KÖZ-Pont Youth Association, SZIFON and Szolnok GreenErő. In our presentation, we highlighted the results of the #StandForSomething campaign and the important issues that more than 3000 Europeans identified as a major factor that could influence the future of Europe. 

After presenting the European vision, we surveyed the opinions of young people in Hungary to compare them with those of young people in Europe.

During the lunch break, a prize package was awarded to the young people who had told us and described the values that were most important to them.

In April, we also visited Nyíregyháza at the Megyei Diák Parlament (Student Parliament), where we presented the results of #StandForSomething, Europe Direct and KÖZ-Pont, as well as Pact for Youth Association to the young people.

One of our current goals is to create services that promote social development through the value-creating skills of a group of young workers, students, apprentices and trainees.

In this context, we have asked the participating young people for their views on the sectors in which they would like to make their views known to decision-makers so that they can shape their own future. 

That’s why we joined the #StandForSomething campaign, because we believe in young people and their insights and suggestions. 

A County Student Parliament – Representatives of the Association visited Nyíregyháza bejegyzés először Pact4Youth | Célunk a fiatal munkavállalók és pályakezdők támogatása -én jelent meg.

At the Karcagi Városi Diák Fórum (Karcag Municipal Student Forum), in addition to the presentation of the KÖZ-Pont Youth Association and the KVDÖK, we also had the opportunity to present the results of the #StandForSomething campaign and our organisation.

In addition to a general presentation of the campaign, two main themes were explained in more detail: the learning opportunities available to young people, linked to the theme of self-development, including our Legal Smart, which emphasises awareness of employment, and the importance of everyday actions that contribute to sustainable development. 

41.7% of the participants in the campaign were aged between 18 and 21, while 31.6% were aged between 22 and 25. In total, 3000 young people expressed their views and suggestions for the future of Europe at EU level.

From 15 to 16 October 2021, the Magnet Community Centre hosted the Changemakers Youth Forum, a two-day series of events organised by youth associations, including the Youth Pact Association. Our Association’s President, István Kárász, as a roundtable discussion and workshop participant and leader, spoke and exchanged experiences with young leaders and participants about the situation, opportunities and future of the youth labour market. The #STANDFORSOMETHING campaign was an integral part of the conference, with presentations on several topics. The topic #ZeroWaste was discussed by Dr. Bálint Horváth, university lecturer, but also better education, gender equality and social equality. For participants, the event was a great opportunity to expand their international contacts and to meet and talk to people and organisations with similar visions for the future. 

The Changemakers Youth Forum was organised by the GiLE Education Foundation, Pact4Youth, the Tomorrow Ifiúsági Alapítvány, the Association for International Students in Hungary, the International Diplomatic Student Association, the AIESEC Hungarian Association of Economics Students and the Simonyi Károly Szakkollégium.
