This is a key element of Pact4Work Skills. It provides participants with key social skills that the labour market prefers for new recruits and that are an essential part of everyday life.
People are social beings who need to know how to create quality relationships with each other and their communities.
Short summary of the programme:
Day 1
Participants from the three partner organisations of the project met each other, were welcomed by István Kárász, President of the Pact for Youth Association and introduced the project, the first stage of which is the Youth Mobility programme. The whole programme was led by two facilitators Dóra Faragó and Dávid Tarcsa.
The first guest of the 9-day skills training was designer Tünde Dániel, who was a great success with her motivational workshop.
Day 2
A varied programme of activities helped participants to develop skills they can apply in the workplace: community building, cooperation and self-awareness.
Day 3
The main themes of the day were stress and change, and anxiety caused by a changing environment. Participants learned different stress management and relaxation techniques, increasing their awareness and self-reflection.
Day 4
Halfway through the 9-day programme, we had a rest day. The participants travelled to Siófok, to get to know one of the most famous places in Hungary. Due to the storm forecast, the sunset and the pizza party were held at Lake Velence.
Day 5
The guest trainer of the day is Anita Kulcu-Gusztafik, a coach for individual and group coaching. Participants learned about the role of the coach and mentor in the journey of self-awareness and the importance of self-awareness in the work. In the second half of the workshop, the groups had to come up with a business idea, prepare a presentation and present it to the others.
Day 6
In the morning, two trainers from the GILE Foundation, Grace and P.T., introduced their association, the GILE Academy, the skills development opportunities and the importance of a mentor. In the afternoon, Viktor Jósa organised a workshop, “Climate Action Simulation”, a fun role-playing workshop on climate change for science, education and policy advocacy.
Day 7
The last day of the programme arrived. Participants looked back on the past week, summarised what they had learned from the workshops and exercises, evaluated the elements of the programme in a variety of ways and concluded their time together with a circle of friends.
The project was supported by Erasmus+.
